Aims:

•  Promoting and developing local production of the book's quality.

•  Encouraging the authors and publishers in fulfilling the requirements of scientific,    literary and knowledge based productions.

•  Encouraging studies on numerous social / cultural issues of the UAE.

•  Encouraging translation of works, thereby creating awareness and dialogues with other nations and cultures.

Conditions

•  Works should be written in standard Arabic.

•  Works should be new and produced within the last 2 years.

•  Submitted works should not have participated in any other competitions.

•  Submitted works shall not be returned back to the participants.

•  Winners shall be invited to a prize distribution ceremony during SIBF.

•  The date of announcing the new award would be after the end of SIBF each year.

•  The works must be submitted a month and a half prior the next session of SIBF.

•  Results shall be declared before the start of Sharjah International Book Fair.

The participants require to:

•  Works should be unique and new in subject.

•  Works are acceptable in Arabic and foreign language.

•  A self declaration that the book had not won any prizes before.

•  Provide 3 copies of the work.

•  Works should be new and produced within the last 2 years.
